SEVEN

A New Work for Two Pianos, Voice, Electronics, and Orchestra

Composed and Performed by Clarice Assad and Chloe Flower

Featuring Clarice Assad, voice and live electronics, and Chloe Flower, piano

SEVEN is a multidisciplinary musical journey exploring the spectrum of human experience through seven distinct energies—each movement embodying a unique state, color, wavelength, and emotional force. Created and performed by Clarice Assad and Chloe Flower, the work traces the arc of human existence from the primal instincts of survival to moments of transcendence, revealing the constant movement and transformation within every living being.

Written for two pianos, orchestra, voice, and electronics, SEVEN places two extraordinary musical voices at its center. The pianos become both individual storytellers and partners in dialogue, surrounded by orchestral textures and enhanced by Assad’s live vocals and electronic sound design. Across seven movements, the work expands and contracts between density and luminosity, intimacy and vastness, acoustic tradition and contemporary exploration.

Each movement inhabits its own sonic world while contributing to a larger emotional spectrum—a reflection of the many energies that shape human experience. Through the interplay of piano, orchestra, voice, and electronics, SEVEN creates a powerful meditation on connection, transformation, and what it means to be fully present within a human life.

Bringing together Assad’s expansive creative practice rooted in Brazilian heritage, orchestral composition, and electronic exploration with Flower’s singular artistry bridging classical virtuosity and contemporary culture, SEVEN is a bold collaboration that invites audiences to experience music not simply as sound, but as energy, movement, and shared humanity.
